I laughed my *ss off throughout Nature's Housekeeper by Michael Gurnow. I can't tell you how many times I busted up laughing out loud, really, not to mention laughing until I cried a few times.

You cannot read this without laughing out loud! Not only hilarious, but his evolution from air conditioned city guy into a man with some pretty amazing outdoor knowledge and skills made me want to spend some time getting reacquainted with nature.

Michael Gurnow had a salaried position with his very own desk, health insurance, and prospects for future advancement, and he gave it all up to become a Trail Maintenance Worker, probably the wildest, dirtiest, most trying, and occasionally dangerous minimum-wage job in America. In addition to enjoying every page of this adventure- and fun-filled book, you'll see why a TMW has to function like a cross between Paul Bunyan and James Bond while invisibly rendering forest trails as pleasant, carefree, and safe as paths in a city park.
